Visitors will be invited to help decorate the arch with hawthorn to bring good luck and positive energy to Sinai as the trust awaits the outcome of its recent National Lottery Heritage Fund bid application. If successful, the funding will secure Sinai’s future as a place of wellbeing, learning and community.
11am gates open.
11.30am - walk through the woods starts.
1pm - Guided tour of Sinai (outdoors only).
Eventbrite tickets are free. Donations welcome via website.
Crowdfunder Launch: Securing Sinai’s Future
The day will also mark the launch of a month-long crowdfunder led by the Sinai Park House Trust. Throughout May, supporters are invited to pledge a donation to help raise the target of £20,000 match funding required as part of the trust’s application to the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
This vital support will strengthen the bid and help safeguard Sinai Park House for future generations. By contributing to the crowdfunder, visitors become part of a collective effort to protect Sinai’s heritage, landscape, and community value for years to come.
As we welcome the May and celebrate renewal, your support will help ensure this historic place continues its story. We hope to see you there. This is a free to attend event, your support for our Crowdfunder is entirely up to you.
Bring a picnic – there’s plenty of space for blankets and chairs and taking in the glorious surroundings of the parkland.
Refreshments available in support of the Friends of Sinai Park House Trust.
Tickets are FREE and available via Eventbrite. Please bring your ticket with you on the day either on the Eventbrite app or as a print out.
Access:
Sinai Park House is located in Shobnall, Burton-upon-Trent.
Visitors to Sinai should park locally in Shobnall, wherever it is safe and legal, and can walk up via the national forest footpath – approx. 15-minute walk. Or, walk up via the driveway, which is also a public footpath, which people might find easier than the National Forest way.
Access to Sinai Park House is via Shobnall Road, opposite Shobnall Primary school - there is a public footpath/road opposite. Walk up here, being mindful of passing traffic. When you reach the gate, go over the style on the left and take the grassy path up on the left. Keep following this woodland trail for approx. 10mins until you see a sign directing you into the site on your right hand side. You will enter via the Lords Well, please do take care around this open water source.
Please note that this route goes up hill and the terrain is uneven. There is also a style and kissing gate which makes this route unsuitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs.
If mobility impaired, please email kate@sinaiparkhouse.co.uk in advance to arrange suitable parking at Sinai.
There will be no access to the house on the day. Toilets are in the meadow.
