The National Forest walk goes past Sinai Park House
If you're a keen walker this Monks and Moorings Trail on The National Forest website is a nice one to try and the route even passes by Sinai!
It's 6.8 miles, taking about 3 hours and starting at Branston Water Park. For more info visit: www.nationalforest.org
Sinai Park House and woodlands are best described as a hidden gem nestled on a hilltop overlooking the surrounding Trent Valley. The Grade II listed building dates back to the 1300s and is situated within a 13th-century moat.
The surrounding woodland is planted in two parts - Shobnall Wood to the north and The Rough to the South. Between the two, an 18th Century-style hunting park landscape has been recreated using individual crated trees and a historically accurate orchard has similarly been recreated using traditional varieties, under Countryside Stewardship.
