It’s exciting times at Sinai Park House with the Trust working hard behind the scenes to secure the future of Sinai for future generations.
The Trust has been taking the next steps to apply for National Lottery Heritage Funding (NLHF) which, if successful, would allow for work to begin to bring Sinai back to life as a wellbeing and education centre - restoring both the timber framed structure and surrounding site, as well as its place at the heart of the community.
If you have been following Sinai’s journey, then you may have spotted that the most recent project is the restoration of our 18th century coach house. We are delighted to say that the work to create an office and headquarters is progressing at full steam, thanks to the hard work and generous support of Burton and South Derbyshire College and various local, national and international businesses including, St Modwen Homes, Staffordshire Access Scaffolding, Harlow Timber Group, MKM, the Luceco Group, Kraus Flooring and V33. More information on this coming soon…
It's certainly been a busy summer, and we wanted to share that whilst we progress these next steps over the next few months, regrettably we won’t be able to host the usual events of the past few years, such as September’s Heritage Open Days. However, tea and tours for private groups are still available – visit the website for more details.
Keep an eye on our social media pages over the next few weeks for further updates. As always, we want to thank the local community for their continued support and take the opportunity to highlight the ways people and businesses can get involved in Sinai’s restoration, either through volunteering, donating, becoming a Friend of Sinai or a Sinai Trust member.
